Fun little game [LJ Repost]

It pulls up things that have happened on that day. So I bite. So I decided to do it for myself and make as many Eddie-isms as possible:
1497 - Pope Alexander VI excommunicates Girolamo Savonarola. 1917 - The Nuncio Eugenio Pacelli, the future Pope Pius XII, is consecrated Archbishop by Pope Benedict XV1981 - Mehmet Ali Ağca attempts to assassinate Pope John Paul II in St. Peter's Square in Rome.

2005 - The final episode of Star Trek: Enterprise airs in the United States, bringing to a close an 18-year uninterrupted television franchise, Enterprise being one of two series created by Gene Roddenberry ending on the same day.
