*part of a series of posts I am cross-posting. I'm finally within the MySpace timeline, which means these posts will be dated the actual date/time they were originally posted*
What was the last concert you attended? The Who: Tweeter Center Mansfield, MA -May 20, 2004How many people were there?Regular seating was definately sold out, not sure about lawn seats, so I'll low-ball it and say 14, 000 (which is the actual number of seated seats in the center). What bands have you seen in concert the most, and how many times?Weird Al Yankovic (7) The Who (3) Primus (2) Love And Rockets (3)Do you have any set lists? From what bands?I used to have the L N' R sets because I was promoting the tour in the Boston area, but not anymore. Are there any CDs in close proximity to you? Which ones?A Pile because I'm still entering my catalog into iTunes (I have way too many cds). The ones that are on the desk are: The Who: Live At Leeds (Deluxe Edition)The Chameleons (U.K.): Script Of The BridgeTricky: Pre Millenium TensionUnderworld: Beaucoup FIshUn/Cut: Zima Music SamplerBelle & Sebastian: Fold Your Hands Child You Walk Like A PeasantBeck: OdelayBeck: Mellow GoldThe Beatles: Yellow Submarine SongtrackThe Beatles: Yellow Submarine (Yes these are technically two different albums)Delerium: KarmaDemolition Zoth: A Zoth Ommog CompilationThe Beatles : The Beatles (White Album)Eyes Wide Shut: Music From The Motion PictureEvita: The Complete Motion Picture SoundtrackEnya: Shepard MoonsToys: Music From The Original Motion Picture SoundtrackThe Cranberries: No Need To ArgueVarious Artists: Just Can't Get Enough, New Wave HalloweenVarious Artists: Punk Rock XmasPops On Parade SamplerWing Commander: Prophecy - Original SoundtrackWilly Wonka & The Chocolate Factory: Special 25th Anniversary Edition - Original SoundtrackPerry Farrell: Song Yet To Be SungFatboy Slim: You've Come A Long Way BabyWhat band are you in the mood to see live right this second? If I could I'd like to go back in time and see a double bill of T. Rex with The Sweet, other than that I dunno I haven't been concerty lately (even though I have two coming up)Have you ever been on a tour bus?No But I had to stand right outside one to get Weird Al's autograph once.Have you ever partied with a band?Does drinking a beer with Jon "Bermuda" Schwartz at Alcon count? How many states/provinces have you been to concerts in?MA, ME, CT, RIWhat bands did you see live the month of May?None (assuming you mean this past May and not May as a whole)What CD are you addicted to at the moment? Well technically it's in iTunes (bought from iTMS) He's A Pirate: EP by DJ Tietso (a.k.a. Pirates Of The Carribean: Dead Man's Chest Techno Remixes)Who is one band that you used to like, but now you can't stand?Marilyn Manson. Their first two albums were great and ahead of thier time, then he just became a twit and went tooo far out of his way trying to shock everybody. I liked them better when they were about music.Have you ever been on anyone's guest list? Whose? As a promoter for the L N' R Tour, I got into all the shows early and free , and even got to go to an afterparty which was an 80s night at Axis upstairs.Last band person that you got a picture with?Someone from Weird Al's band, but I forget which order I got the photos in so can't say for sure who.Do you consider yourself a groupie?Groupies sleep with the band, so NO. (Copying Stegs Answer here, because she said it so perfect). If you were to name a boy and a girl after any band... what would you name them?Hahah. I wouldn't actually do this, but for fun, I'll bite. Boy : London Suede (even though I usually just call them Suede, because I don't like to specify a band is from the UK); and for a Girl: Veruca Salt (because it's Willy Wonka and was already a person name before it was a band name)How old were you when you went to your first concert?16 or 17 (ee below)Who was it?The Hooters at Merrimack College (winter either 1989 or 1990)Which artists haven't you seen yet that you want to see?Dead Can Dance, I wanted to see them, I even had tickets, and my evil-ex screwed it all up for me and we didn't go. And last year when they came around, I had just given birth, so yeah if they tour again I am so there!Bands/Artists you'd wish you'd seen?As mentioned previously: T. Rex, The Sweet, David Bowie (when he was still glam), Slade, I think you getthe idea...Are you wearing a band shirt right now?NoWhat band do you own the most merch of? (excluding music)Technically, Nine Inch Nails, but it's all in a box waiting to be sold on eBay... so I guess that may not count. What song is on your myspace right now?Sanctuary- Utada Hikaru (because I have a Kingdom Hearts obsession)Have you ever met that band?Well it's a person, and no she's from JapanDo you ever do anything crazy at shows?Well technically it was halloween, but I dressed up as the convict (WAY fans you know who I mean, 'Weird Al Rules!") to go to a Weird Al show. So I guess that was a teensy bit weird. What are your favourite venues to go to shows at? I used to like the Orpheum a lot, haven't been since they upgraded. It was small enough to be intimate and big enough you could usually still have a shot to score tickets. What band do you have the most performance pictures of?Weird Al Yankovic. Because I took a few and then Stegs gave us all a bunch, and when I worked for L N' R I ws too busy working to take pictures. I got a few but they were blurry.Would you ever get a tattoo representing a band?I would never get a tattoo (weird statement from an ex-goth I know)How many concerts do you average a year?.25 (yes a fraction if you average out how many concerts I actually go to divided by number of years since I started to go to concerts)Upcoming shows?Going this weekend to Charlie Daniels band/.38 Special for a friends birthday, and then September 16th to The Who. List every band you've EVER seen live, no matter how obscure. The Hooters At Merrimack College North Andover Massachusetts? at Phillips Academy Andover Massachusetts (1990 or 1991) 8there is a story about why I don't remember, if you ask nicely*The B-52's/Violent Femmes at Great Woods Center For The Performing Arts Mansfield Massachusetts(7/16/1991)Janes Addiction/Nine Inch Nails/Living Colour/Butthole Surfers/Rollins Band/Ice-T & Body Count- Lollapalooza At Great Woods (8/10/1991)Red Hot Chili Peppers/Smashing Pumpkins at Boston University Boston Massacusetts (11/1/1991) {apparently 1991 was an awesome year for concerts, no wonder I miss those days}The Lemonheads at The Paradise Rock Club Boston MasssachusettsRed Hot Chili Peppers/Ministry/Ice Cube/Soundgarden/The Jesus & Mary Chain/Pearl Jam/Lush/Temple Of The Dog/Rollins Band- Lollapalooza at Great Woods 8/7/1992Elton John at Great Woods (September 1992)Primus/Alice In Chains/Tool/Fishbone/Arrested Development/Dinosaur Jr./Front 242/Babes In Toyland/Rage Against The Machine-Lollapalooza Quonset State Park Providence Rhode Island (7/17/1993)Primus at The Orpheum Theater Boston Massacusetts (8/29/1993)Pter Gabriel/Arrested Development/Midnight Oil/Live/Lucky Dube/ the Levellers-WOMAD Festival Great Woods (7/19/1994)Lords Of Acid/My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult//God Lives Underwater at Avalon Boston Masssachusetts(11/9/1995)Bread And Puppet Theater Glover Vermont 1996 (I'm pretty sure it had some bands besides the puppets, but damned if I can rememeber who now... probably Phish or somesuch band)Ministry/The Young Gods/Foetus- Sphinctour Worcester 1996Love And Rockets/Dandy Warhols At the Paradise (4/3/1996)KMFDM/Pig At Axis 1997Love And Rockets/Liz Phair/Big Bad Voodoo Daddy WFNX 15th Birthday Celebration At Avalon (10/30/1998)Love And Rockets At Avalon (4/3/1999)Weird Al at North Shore Music Center 7/25/99Weird Al at Hampton Beach Casino 7/31/99 (I Belive this was the first time we ever met Stegs)Weird Al at South Shore Music Circus 8/6/99Weird Al at Cape Cod Melody Tent 8/7/99Weird Al at State Theater Portland Maine 10/31/99 Praga Khan/Lords Of Acid Heaven Is Coming Tour at The Roxy (2/18/2000)Weird Al at Bushnell Auditorium Hartford Connecticut 5/11/00Weird Al At Hampton Beach Casino 7/6/00The Who at the Tweeter Center (Formerly Great Woods) 7/26/2002The Who at the Tweeter Center 9/27/2002The Who at the Tweeter Center 5/20/2004OK Thats all I can remember off the top of my head.. knew I shoulda saved all my stubs
