I then entered Meaghans birthday in, and wow sucky for her her singles were "Goldigger" by Kanye West and 'Don't Cha" by the Pussycat Dolls.. ewwwwwwwww |

| [PLEASE HELP] Talisman of Venus |
I have had two of these in my lifetime, the first being purchased around 1990 or so and the second posssibly around 1995. I had Venus due to my Astrological Sign "Taurus" being ruled by that planet and also as it twins up with my nickname. I wore them both 24/7/365 until the pewter finish wore off and the underlying copper started irratating my skin, the last one I owned being retired circa 1999. Anways, as talismans tend to do, I fell like I'm lacking without it, and having been about 9 years this coming October since I've had it, I'd really like to replace it (again). The problem is this, the only place that I know that sells the one I want is the jewelry store at "the Garage" in Harvard Square, Cambridge, MA. The problem is my "evil ex" Victor got a job there since I purchased my last one, and there's no way in hell I am going in there. I have looked online, and there are plenty of "Talismans of Venus" for sale, but the ones I have seen are not the right design, the ones I am finding are mostly correct on one side and not on the other (one side has the Pentagram just as in the online talismans, but the reverse has the Star of David, and both sides have many more symbols in Magi Language {as opposed to Hebrew, which is also on the ones I have been finding online}and much less blank space on both sides). http://wolf.mind.net/library/magic/talismans/talisman.htm (scroll down to Venus)

It's driving me mental, because no matter how hard I try to trick it into guessing wrong it still gets it right, and obviously it's got to be some sort of algorithm or something, but how does it know? I didn't have to enter any personal info so it's not like it's computing it based on my age, sex, horoscope sign... MENTAL I tell you!!!!!
ETA: AHA! Ok well for one some of the symbols are repeating, for seconds they randomize each time you reset the thing, not sure what these two factors indicate since I'm still now figuring out exactly which premise it works on, however I have foudn that I can now trick it into guessing wrong by not actually thinking of a number as it suggests and doing all the math, but instead picking a symbol at random of the chart, so perhaps it makes an educated guess by having some sort of timed answer to your response (in other words it's measuring you doing the math and estimating what number you are probably working with?). It's still pretty fucking neat though... |
