| Venting.. because some people are just A*Holes [LJ Repost] |
*part of a series of posts I am cross-posting. I'm finally within the MySpace timeline, which means these posts will be dated the actual date/time they were originally posted* I should not have even started this conversation, should have just walked away. I dunno if it's a product of too many of my friends being on hard times or what but maybe I was just spoiling for a fight. I do really like MMORPGs 90% of the time. It's a nice way to waste some time, I like the adventure and quests, and spending time with friends. Note that "friends" is the operative word here, I almost never will group with people I do not know, and the main reason has always been I seem to have the unfortunate luck to find the one 12 year old with a god complex. Someone first of all comes up and kill steals my quest monster "a sand monitor" then has the audacity to ask me to group. I politely decline for the two previously mentioned reasons by saying "No thank you" and start to walk away, because I know from past experience if I hang around this idiot is gonna keep stealing my kills and keep hounding me until I group with them. As I am walking away they ask me to duel. I never duel, it's lame and pointless and for people with small penises (ok in which case you would think I would like it since i have no penis... but I digress). I click the "no" and continue walking away determined to get away from this loser and then they OOC (so the whole game can hear it) "sissy" and then says "run woos{translate as wuss}". While I admit my typing is as bad as the next person; something about this {poor spelling, no punctuation, and never used any capital letters} indicated I was probably dealing with a teenager here. Why they were not in school is a whole different mystery. Normally I would be way too dignified to even justify this with a response; but like I said I must have been spoiling for a fight because I ended up giving them a private tell "What are you fucking 7? I am not running away, I was already walking before you even challenged me. I just do not like grouping with people I do not know". So of course idiot child continues their uneducated rant "ohh poor baby" "u arent ne good so fucking get over it". I really should have stopped, but suddenly felt compelled to try and mother this idiotic kid and maybe teach them some respect. (Meanwhile on chat channel the same person is having an argument with some other person on who is a noob and who is not a noob and they both have stupid teenybopper spelling and sound like they have a 3rd grade education... but again again I digress). I say "So do you normally harass people you do not know for no reason? I suppose you think it is funny? FYI I don't group because I have a 7 month old kid and it is not fair to the rest of the group that I constantly have to go AFK to take care of her. I also do not duel because I often play with one hand which makes it difficult for me to chainspell, and I just don't like dueling in general. Next time before you give someone a hard time you may want to consider their feelings and their circumstances". I think they felt a little bad.. but not really because they continued to act like an idiot: "i didnt harrass i was wanting a freindly duel or group" (Yeah your actions so far could in no way be considered harassment... nope.) "well poor guy" "i do to" (Yes the typo is here purposely that is what this person wrote.. they are also assuming because I play a male character that I am a male, so pretty frigging intelligent there). "and i take very well care of my kid and manage to play" (Oh really? I am sure if you even are an adult and even have a kid, although I am sure you are lying, that you must take "very well care" of your kid in whatever bumfuck West Virginia town you and your cousin decided to get married and have children in, my 7 month old has better verbal skills that this asshole!). I of course kept picking at it... silly me. "What is your issue? I tried to decline your invitation nicely and you are acting like a child?" "no i didntwas trying to get you to duel" Finally they back down and semi-apologize (by saying "have a good day man no harm done") as I was typing this next thing(good enough for me.. I stopped paying attention after I finished)"Yes and then you verbally attack me when I said no, instead of just accepting that someone does not want to do something and walking away nicely. That is all I ask, just accept it and don't make a scene about it. Thank you for apologizing have a good day." CRIKEY!! Now I don't feel like playing anymore.. it was supposed to be relaxing.. and now of course I am so NOT relaxed. |

| Strange Family Feud Things [LJ Repost] |
*part of a series of posts I am cross-posting. I'm finally within the MySpace timeline, which means these posts will be dated the actual date/time they were originally posted* Dunno why I feel compeled to post this.. it was just weird:Answer to how much money a teenager spends on a date (most were normal amounts over $20): $3 (can't even share McDonalds value meal for that price!).Things about Dennis Rodman that are unusual: Answers were hair color, he's crazy, height, and body piercings: I accept that but not one person out of 100 said his tattoos?Things you might use to see something up close: Answers were magnifying glass, eyeglasses, binoculars, and bifocals. Must have been an old crowd.. someone said bifocals but no one said microscope???!!!Then there were just dumb ones like: Five answers on the board, name one of the five senses you depend on most (uhh doesn't matter which one you say you're bound to get this right unless you are a total moron). Three answers on the board, name an actor who has played James Bond. So unless you were gonna say Timothy Dalton or George Lazenby you were bound to get it (in fact even if you did say them you have 3 strikes so it would be hard to miss unless you said Arnold Schwarzenegger or something).P.S. Why isn't Perplexed a mood? I always want to use it and it's never there. Maybe I'll make my own icon set one day. |

| On an unrelated note.. [LJ Repost] |
*part of a series of posts I am cross-posting. I'm finally within the MySpace timeline, which means these posts will be dated the actual date/time they were originally posted* Have I mentioned recently how much I hate iTunes.. or I guess more specifically CDDB. I might as well not even use it. A good portion of the time they don't have things labeled the way I would like, and sometimes even alltogether wrong (I have caught a number of typos). I always spend like a half an hour per CD trying to correct liner notes, dates, etc. I guess it is because I am an audiophile that I am so anal about it. I freak out if one of my CDs is not put back in alphabetical order, so it's no wonder I get annoyed. I also wish they gave you more space on that "description" section. I just don't always feel like you get as much info as you do when you actually buy the album, and that doesn't seem right to me. I thought I saw somewhere though that you can download some bookets sometimes if you buy a full album, but I don't rememebr where. Still I think when you pay a freaking Dollar per song someone should be nice enough to give you as much info (and correct at that) about what you purchased. Maybe I should go work for them, hell I already relabeled my catalogue of 800 cds, so there's a start! Oh yeah and the other thing that annoys me (which I mentioned already to alienpigpen) the lack of stuff I actually want that is avaiable through pay services like iTunes, Napster, Rhapsody. I try so hard not to bootleg things, but it makes it difficult when what you are looking for isn't there to purchase. I wish they would stop catering to top 40 listening people only and maybe put a few more albums from obscure acts and albums. |

| Go to Hell!! [LJ Repost] |
*part of a series of posts I am cross-posting. I'm finally within the MySpace timeline, which means these posts will be dated the actual date/time they were originally posted* Found this while working on a related project, kind of interesting, except the part where I'd be IN Hell to begin with. The Dante's Inferno Test has banished you to the Third Level of Hell! Here is how you matched up against all the levels: Level Score Purgatory (Repenting Believers) Very Low Level 1 - Limbo (Virtuous Non-Believers) Low Level 2 (Lustful) Low Level 3 (Gluttonous) Very High Level 4 (Prodigal and Avaricious) Moderate Level 5 (Wrathful and Gloomy) High Level 6 - The City of Dis (Heretics) Very High Level 7 (Violent) High Level 8- the Malebolge (Fraudulent, Malicious, Panderers) Moderate Level 9 - Cocytus (Treacherous) Moderate Take the Dante's Inferno Hell Test |

*part of a series of posts I am cross-posting. I'm finally within the MySpace timeline, which means these posts will be dated the actual date/time they were originally posted* Ok so Meaghan usually says words that sound like "Hi" which she has been using for a while now.. and last week it was just "da da da da" over and over even though I don't think she actually can associate it with the word Daddy.. I think she just likes saying the sound.. but today I caught her repeating the word yellow, though from her it sounded more like "hah-boo" but still it was pretty damn cute/funny. |

| This Annoys me a Little [LJ Repost] |
*part of a series of posts I am cross-posting. I'm finally within the MySpace timeline, which means these posts will be dated the actual date/time they were originally posted* http://abcnews.go.com/Primetime/story?id=1810169&page=1Not so much for the concept, but because in college I had to write a paper on who in Dante's inferno didn't belong in their circle of hell. I chose Judas, stating while he should still be in hell, he possibly should have been in a higher circle (I suggested Suicides). I backed it up with a lot of arguments and what I thought to be a well researched and argued paper (since I used to be pretty good at debating when I wrote, as far as providing answers which would rule out all possible arguments). So imagine my surprise when the guy teaching the class gave me a "D" on the paper, basically because he was a holy roller and I dared to question what was set down in stone in the Bible. So yeah basically, if you don't want your religious beliefs put into question, why even assign a paper like that. It was like he was looking for a reason to fail people, because up to that point almost everyone in that class had an A because the guy was normally so easy. So of course now I see this article about Judas, and how they're putting into question whether his sin is redeemable, using many of the same arguments I used so many years ago on that paper.. and to say the least I am bitter. Too bad I don't still have it saved somewhere, I should go back to that asshole with the news copy and my paper and make him re-grade it.Oh yeah and don't flame me religious folk. I have no problem with any religion other than the concept of "blind faith" in everything that makes people not see that someone else can have a different opinion on something. But it's not just religion, it's anything.. so I'm not being blasphemous it wouldn't matter what subject it was, if you take such a hard line on anything that you won't even listen to someone else's opinion especially if you don't agree with it, then I would have an issue with that. |

*part of a series of posts I am cross-posting. I'm finally within the MySpace timeline, which means these posts will be dated the actual date/time they were originally posted* rhiannons_rose posted to eddieizzard "I couldn't help myself!!An LJ buddy of mine posted a great idea in his journal. Go to Wikipedia, and enter your birth date (not year) in the search engine. It pulls up things that have happened on that day. So I bite. Here was one of the results.1821 - Greece declares its independence from the Ottoman Empire, beginning the Greek War of Independence. The furniture empire....I laughed pretty hard.Bee Groovy!" So I decided to do it for myself and make as many Eddie-isms as possible: 1497 - Pope Alexander VI excommunicates Girolamo Savonarola. 1917 - The Nuncio Eugenio Pacelli, the future Pope Pius XII, is consecrated Archbishop by Pope Benedict XV1981 - Mehmet Ali Ağca attempts to assassinate Pope John Paul II in St. Peter's Square in Rome. Hitler didn't play "Risk" when he was a kid 2005 - The final episode of Star Trek: Enterprise airs in the United States, bringing to a close an 18-year uninterrupted television franchise, Enterprise being one of two series created by Gene Roddenberry ending on the same day. *Uhura with hand up to ear* "Captain, I've got the Klingons on finger number two" |

| Other Funny Things I Noticed While Labeling Album Covers [LJ Repost] |
*part of a series of posts I am cross-posting. I'm finally within the MySpace timeline, which means these posts will be dated the actual date/time they were originally posted* Two for Daniel Ash: his self titled album ends up the way I labeled it as da_da.jpg (Defense Against the Dark Arts?) and "Coming Down" as da_cd.jpg (but I already know its a CD.. duh). Also "Army of Lovers" ends up as AOL *giggle*, and not so much a label for an album cover but I just noticed I have a song called "You Can't Hide Your Love (Hidden Love Remix)"; how ironic is that? |

*part of a series of posts I am cross-posting. I'm finally within the MySpace timeline, which means these posts will be dated the actual date/time they were originally posted* Had the album "Don't Run Unless God Says" by Animus Amour since it came out in 1999, and only just NOW realised as I was abbreviating the title for the cover art in my iPod files that it spells "DRUGS" Duh duh and duh, guess I just don't think that way or something |
