When game fandoms collide!! If nothing else at least Annie will laugh at me. My newest City of Villians character. I made Sephiroth a member of Organization XIII, gave him a little story and everything. Yep, I'm Lame!http://ishtarandromeda.com/images/Xophireths1.jpghttp://ishtarandromeda.com/images/Xophireths2.jpghttp://ishtarandromeda.com/images/Xophireths3.jpghttp://ishtarandromeda.com/images/Xophireths4.jpgOnly thing I don't like about him is that they don't give you longer coats.. so he won't look right until I give him a cape.

I said I was going to post updates to my webpage someplace else.. but I reserve the right to change my mind on some occasions. For those that care I am restarting my Anime Hunks of the Month webpage.. only now I call it Imaginary Hunks of the Month (for reasons you will understand if you go there). http://ihotm.blogspot.com/

Does BitTorrent always beep this much? I don't usually have my sound on but I'm also trying to fix more iTunes stuff and this little *blip* every few minutes is driving me deranged. At least I think it's BT, there are very few things running and this is a newer program I downloaded.. so I am assuming this is where the annoying noise comes from (as it is different than the annoying noise that Trillian makes when people log on and off but which happens less often and not in a designated time period like this new noise does).

Yep haven't written in a while. Also way behind on "friends" posts.. so If you haven't heard from me it's not that I don't like you just I've been busy. It was both my husband and my bithdays last week so he had the week off; we spent most of it working on a gift for our friends (yeah we're weird like that; we give other people gifts on our birthday) which was a comic book we made (short explanation we also gave then the video game "City of Villans" we all play "City of Heroes" together but were tired of one of our groups, also people really wanted a base and other things you could only get if you own COV so we got copies for everyone and then procedded to write the comic which killed off our old supergroup and worked in the villian premise instead). Got some cool things for my B-day/Mothers day including the two deluxe editions of Harry Potter (Sorceres Stone and Chamber of Secrets) which are hardbound leather with gold leaf pages, as well as the Harry Potter Schoolbooks set which I wanted in case I ever decide to finish my fan fictions. Also got Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children DVD (finally) tough I was kind of sad that it didn't have as much Sephiroth in it as I had hoped and Vincent never turned into anything cool like he does in the games.. oh well maybe they're saving it all for his solo game Dirge of Cerberus. Also got a cool graphics tablet, so can stop putting off school and maybe put some of my art on the computer like I have been wanting. My family got uncreative and mostly gave me cash, though cash is always a good thing I guess I didn't realize I was that hard to buy for since I have about 4 pages of items in my Amazon.com wishlist.. my brother came through though and got me the DVD of T.Rex's Born to Boogie.. so that was cool. In the meantime just wanted to say thanks to darthjen270 for wishing me a happy on her journal and also congrats to selinaenriquez who did her "M" photoshoot last week as well as almost being done with her Bachelor Project. Just posting these here because at this point the items are too far gone from last week and I was afraid you wouldn't see my posts. Other than that still catching up so if I missed you please don't feel offended.

More Meme (I Need a Life) [LJ Repost]

Monday Meme 40 : 2006-03-06 : Liar, liar! Pants on fire!
1. Do you ever tell lies? Don't lie!
I don't think I've done too many lies in a while. I am keeping a secret (not sure that counts).
2. Are "little white lies" okay if no harm is done?
Yes, every once in a while it is important to lie just a little.
3. Would you lie to your parents? Would you lie to your significant other?
I used to lie to them all the time, but otherwise I would have been imprisioned in my room as a teenager. Depends what it was about, but normally I would say no, you should always try to be as honest as possible if you have asked someone to share your life.
4. Have you ever been caught lying?
Yeah, I guess my parents weren't always as clueless as I thought they were.
5. What is the biggest lie you've ever told (that you can talk about here)?
Well I can make the entry friends only so I can tell you that the secret (which doesn't necessarily involve lying unless she were to come straight out and ask) involves my mom. She does not know that I met my biological father or my half sister and I have been keeping it from her for at least a year now. Part of the reason I don't tell her is because I'm angry that pretty much everything I heard about him growing up turned out to be not true. So part of me figures if she went through all that trouble to make him sound like someone I wouldn't want to meet, then I probably shouldn't tell her I did. Also whenever it does come up (like one time she ran into his sister at the dentist and found out I had a sister she said to me "I almost thought about figuring out a way you two could meet, but then decided I like things the way they are") you kind of don't really feel like doing it anymore.

Monday Meme 41 : 2006-04-02 : Spring Forward
1. List 3 things you like about spring:
Warmer weather; being able to open the window (related to 1 sort of but also because I just like fresh non heated or air-conditioned air); everything starts growing again (no more dead look)
2. List 3 things you hate about spring:
Allergies; rain; more people are out (don't really like too many people)
3. Do you set your clocks forward in the spring? Do you think it is a good idea?
Yes. Doesn't really phase me either way.
4. Do you have allergies in the spring? Do you take any allergies medications?
Yes. Not that bad that I need meds, just hate being stuffy for 2 months.
5. What are you looking forward to the most this spring?
Sitting outside on my porch or in my back yard. Barbecue!!!

On so I just noticed this even though I have lived here since like 2002. One side of one of the upstairs doors is painted white, the other is stained a dark mahogany type color. this isnt that weird except they did the hinges this was as well, so when you have the door half open the hinges have this cool checkerboard pattern. LOL

Beacuse I can’t be bothered to sign up for more accounts [LJ Repost]
*part of a series of posts I am cross-posting. I'm finally within the MySpace timeline, which means these posts will be dated the actual date/time they were originally posted*
Found this at http://www.43things.com. Basically it's supposed to be a list of goals you want to accomplish. You make the list and then check them off as you accomplish each item. Other people can join in your goal if they want: which wouldn't necessarily make sense if your goal was too personal.. but a lot of them seem like a lot of fun. I am starting this one but don't feel like doing yet another account so I'm gonna just update it here instead. Incidentally I couldn't figure out why some of these movies were considered "the best" until I realized it was based on user ratings. A lot of them are excellent movies, but "the Incredibles" at 82??!! Are you shitting me? Also I own more of these than actually listed; mostly because I was only counting DVDs and I haven't finished replacing all my VHS yet. Also anything I couldn't remember very well because I fell asleep, didn't pay attention, or saw too long ago to remember a lot of I gave myself a reminder to "rewatch".Watch the IMDB.com top 250 MoviesRank Rating Title Votes 1. And lastly I have a very bad habit of forgetting to watch anything that existed before I was born. If I ever finish this list I might also be tempted to watch "The 100 Worst Movies at IMDB.com" LOL!!!This list would be greatly serviced if I could get/afford to buy at least these two things from amazon:http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0006A05RM/qid=1146595406/sr=1-3/ref=sr_1_3/103-1861412-9202221?s=dvd&v=glance&n=130http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00005ASUK/qid=1146595435/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/103-1861412-9202221?s=dvd&v=glance&n=130Oh well.. keep dreaming I'm off to update my Queue

OMG!! Day of Rants: Rant 2 [LJ Repost]

Yes how sad am I? I got so distracted writing rant 1 and the thread about the white hair I totally forgot what the heck rant2 even was. Guess it wasn't worth a rant after all, but if I think of it I'll post it!

The Day of Small Rants: Rant 1 [LJ Repost]
*part of a series of posts I am cross-posting. I'm finally within the MySpace timeline, which means these posts will be dated the actual date/time they were originally posted*
Rant 1: Johnny Damon - Shouldn't even bother writing this according to my own theory, but I felt like it anyways. He was being interviewed by the local news last night because he's coming back to Boston, but of course as a Yankee. My thing was "don't even interview him". My husband couldn't understand why and I'm gonna explain it here like I did to him. I haven't heard word one about him since he left. As you know the Yankees (even though I hate them as required in my Red Sox fan manual page 1) are full of big stars like Jeter and A-Rod etc. and so forth. The problem I foresee with a team that has so many "big" names.. it leaves sub-par players in the dust. Damon falls under this category. Yes he had some great moments for us, particularly the grand slam in the wild-card playoff for AL champ that sent us to the World Series.. yadda yadda yadda.. but it had been clear that some of his skill had been diminishing either from age, injury or both. We would have still liked him if he had stuck it out. But instead he decided to stroke his wallet and become a traitor (but did he even make a wise decision regarding that? more to come). So yeah basically I haven't heard much about him since he left, except some whining and how he likes it in NY but nothing about his skill as a player, and not just because I live in a state where we don't really talk about the Yankees either.. even when I went to Connecticut the "Switzerland" of the Yankees/Red Sox debate (they usually just route for whoever is winning I swear.. or it depends which state you border maybe) I didn't hear much about him, and we were getting NY news stations there. So my point is this.. the press is eventually gonna die down. NY already has at least 2 poster-boys.. the chances of Johnny getting as much publicity and offers as he did when he played here.. not so good unless he does some super amazing playing (while he is still pretty good I don't know if it is enough to take over the limelight). This brings me to my major point.. was going to NY really the best deal for the wallet or not? While yes the actual paycheck is significantly more what he gave up here was product endorsements (you couldn't change the channel after the World Series without seeing some ad with Damon in it) the book deals (where else but here could he write the novel "Idiot" certainly not in NY) film roles (what Red Sox player was featured in the Movie "Fever Pitch".. Damon) player shirts (at games Damon shirts appeared at least 30% more often than any other player) and not to mention lots of news reels and interviews (hell he couldn't even cut his hair without making the front page.. which is another issue I have entirely.. when he cut his hair here in Boston he only did it once and it was for charity.. a very nice gesture completely overshadowed now that he cut it for greed). So my point is this.. strike at his ego.. he probably would have made more money overall staying here.. but more than that he has an ego to stroke.. he was a huge star here and the best way to prove what a nobody he is now is to ignore him. So when he comes here.. don't interview him!!!!! Don't boo him either.. just make like he never existed, we don't give a shit and we are doing just fine without him. That ought to be a nice kick in the cup.. if you get my drift.

The Good Versus Evil People with White Hair Thread [LJ Repost]
*part of a series of posts I am cross-posting. I'm finally within the MySpace timeline, which means these posts will be dated the actual date/time they were originally posted*
This was inspired by a post at selinaenriquez journal in a response by radaeron. Whole conversation here:http://selinaenriquez.livejournal.com/68682.html?view=1429834t1429834. So I took it upon myself to list as many good and evil people with white hair I could think of. If you have any more you are welcome to add them in comments and I will update the list accordingly. Happy posting.Good People with White Hair:Professor Dumbledore (Harry Potter) previously auburnGandalf (J.R.R. Tolkien) despite having previously been Gandalf "the Grey" he has always had white hair in the stories and the grey to white transition is only that of his status as wizardWillow the White Witch (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) her evil witch form is black and her neutral form is redObi-Wan "Ben" Kenobi (Star Wars) in his youth a brunette (although played by Ewan McGregor one could argue that he was a shade of red), and technically would be considered grayInuyasha (Inuyasha)Aereon, the Elemental (Chronicles of Riddick)Allan Quatermain, Jr. (The League of Extraordinary Gentlmen) played by Sean Connery=white/gray, but drawn in comic as a brunette so may depend on age as of time of storyEvil People with White Hair:Sephiroth (Final Fantasy) technically his hair is silverSaruman (J.R.R. Tolkien) he once had black hair but it turned mostly white with black edges that framed his faceCount Dooku/Darth Tyranus (Star Wars) in younger days comics depict him as a brunetteElliot Carver (James Bond) much like Saruman his hair is white with black framing the edges of his faceThe Malfoys (Harry Potter) technically they are pale white, blonde (depending on family member) but I'm putting them here anyways because close enough Jadis, the White Witch (The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe) there may be some arguement here because in illustrations for the book had white/blonde hair; the BBC version she had black/blue hair, in the Disney remake she has more of a blonde/brunette look, and the original animated movie it is hard to tell what color since she has that blue widows peak hood thing. Based on original unmoviefied appearance I am going with whiteDark Elves/Drow (Various) it can depend on which mythology you are reading, but usually drow are dark skinned or blue skinned with white hair (dark refers to skin color); though in other descriptions resemble regular elves but have just been banned or are evil (dark refers to soul)EDIT I am adding a neutral column of those with white hair that it is undecided whose side they are on.Neutral People with White Hair:Rosiel (Angel Sanctuary) was once an angel so good there; but also went insane and killed someone so bad there.. felt bad about it later so good again.. this guy needs to make up his mindRaistlin Magere (Dragonlance) technically he hangs out with good guys but hes about as appealing personality wise as a month old beef brisketSpike (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) how do you vote? i guess it depends.. chip-in or chip-out SpikeJanus/Magus (Chrono Trigger) hair is white/blue; neutral because allthough he was a spoiled brat as a child and has dark powers and mostly does crappy stuff the whole game (should have been on evil category) he can end up redeeming himself if you choose to put him in the main party (because he helps one kick butt in the game)Hmm interesting.. so far all I seem to have proved is that Good guys predominately previously had reddish hair and bad guys previously had black hair.
